Meet The Life Chats Team!

Hello and welcome. I know arriving at this page might feel heavy, and I am genuinely grateful you are here. Healing, to me, is not about someone rushing in to fix you, but about having someone who truly listens. My role is to sit beside you, to listen, and to help you uncover the wisdom you have always held within. I speak English, Urdu, and Hindi, and I seek to offer heartfelt support to teenagers and adults navigating the complexities of cultural identity, immigration, family expectations, anxiety, grief, and the quiet weight that comes from living in a community where seeking help is often misunderstood. In this space, you do not need to explain yourself. You are welcome just as you are.

My journey to therapy has taken an unconventional route. I began as a medical doctor in Pakistan, where I earned my MD and cared for patients in a bustling government hospital, sometimes seeing nearly a hundred people in a single day. There, I realized that while medicine could soothe the body, it often left the quiet aches of the heart untouched. This insight drew me toward social work. Now, I am pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington and training as a Foundation Year Practicum Student at Life Chats Therapy, under the guidance of Ashley Rogers, LCSW-S. Beyond my clinical education, I have devoted years to volunteering with nonprofits: leading breast cancer awareness in underserved communities, supporting children in orphanages, helping nonprofits offering free healthcare and education in under-resourced schools, and sharing time with elderly individuals with disabilities. Service is the thread that weaves through all my work, and it remains at the heart of what I do.

Outside the therapy room, my world is a blend of peace and color. My family is my anchor, and my mother’s love for language and storytelling lights up my days. The aroma of biryani simmering in the kitchen fills me with happiness, and a captivating K- drama is my favorite way to relax. I find joy in cooking, capturing moments with my camera, and, whenever possible, in painting and sketching. I treasure slow mornings, heartfelt conversations, and creating spaces where people can breathe out and feel at home.

Ashley Rogers, LCSW-S, Therapist, Founder of Life Chats

Hi there! If you have made it to this page, I commend your courage for considering reaching out. It takes a lot of guts to ask for help. Some people don’t know what to expect when they begin therapy. Here’s what to expect from therapy with me: We are simply two people having a chat about your life. This is your journey, and I am here to guide you along the way. I draw knowledge from my education and training, work with my clients, and lived experiences. I speak to you as a human first, and as a therapist second. My goal as your therapist is to help you answer the challenging questions you have about life and to help you overcome the obstacles you are facing. Chances are, you already have most of the answers, but need the right questions and challenges presented to you to make those answers obvious and clear your path of obstacles. I am honored to be trusted enough to be the keeper of your experiences and the guide on your journey.

I have a wide variety of experience in mental health treatment. I have practiced therapy in private psychiatric hospitals, a community mental health agency on a crisis response unit, the Texas State Hospital System, as a civilian contractor for the United States Air Force, and as a private practitioner within a franchise. The things I have been allowed to guide people through in each of these unique settings has given me more compassion, grace and understanding for people. I also learn as much from my clients as I hope they learn from me during their healing journey.

When I am not working, I wear many other hats. I am a proud first responder wife, mom to a little girl who is beautiful inside and out, and a crazy cat lady (dogs are cool too). You might find me floating in any body of water with my family or bargain shopping at the mall during my time off. I love the color aqua blue, Coca Cola, and anything with glitter!
